Left without a conduit, he must find a way to quickly rebuild the fractured and historically tumultuous relationship with his devastated father.</p>
<p>Sophia&#8217;s Spirit is a feature length film project currently in development to be shot on location in Fayetteville, NC.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>5.11.10  The 11th annual <span id="lw_1273606187_0">Malibu International Film Festival</span> was held April 29th through May 1st 2010 at various upscale locations within the scenic Malibu beach community. This annual event, founded in 1999 by Producer <span id="lw_1273606187_1">David Katz</span> with the support of philanthropist Lilly Lawrence, has grown into one of the most anticipated events of the film year. This year a total of seven awards were given by the festival.</p>
<p>This year’s <strong>BEST FEATURE</strong> winner was <strong><a title="Yeardley webpage" href="http://yeardleymovie.com/welcome.php" target="_blank">YEARDLEY</a></strong>,  a disturbing drama about a married narcissist becoming unhinged during the economic downturn. It was written and directed by Heath C. Michaels, produced by Paul Papadeas and stars Jesse Bernstein, Saskia Grace Holmes, Garrett Geoghegan, Rebecca Holopter, Madison Palasini and Dave Huevel.</p>
<p>This is the sixth festival for Yeardley. Yeardley left its world premiere at the <a title="Santa Fe Intl Film Festival" href="http://www.santafefilmfestival.com/" target="_blank"><strong><span id="lw_1273606187_2">Santa Fe Film Festival</span> 2009</strong> </a>with a BEST PICTURE nomination along an elite list of films such as THE ONLY GOOD INDIAN starring Wes Studi and HANDSOME HARRY starring <span id="lw_1273606187_3">Steve Buscemi</span> and <span id="lw_1273606187_4">Aidan Quinn</span>. Yeardley won BEST ACTOR and BEST FEATURE 1st Runner Up at the 5th Annual<strong> </strong><a title="Myrtle Beach International Film Festival" href="http://www.myrtlebeachfilmfestival.com/" target="_blank"><strong><span id="lw_1273606187_6">Myrtle Beach International Film Festival</span> </strong></a>and the PLATINUM REEL AWARD from the 2009 <span id="lw_1273606187_7">Nevada Film Festival</span>.</p>
<p><strong>Also, </strong>Yeardley has recently secured a limited <strong>theatrical distribution</strong> in the USA.</p>

After being fired for sexual harassment, his wife and child leave him. <p>The film’s credits include Writer/Director Heath C. Michaels, Producer Paul Papadeas, <span id="lw_1260508627_2">Unit Production Manager</span> Jennifer Haire (THE CLOSER),  <span id="lw_1260508627_3">Cinematographer</span> Tarina Reed, <span id="lw_1260508627_4">Music Composer</span> <span id="lw_1260508627_5">Steve Pedulla (from the band THURSDAY)</span> and Editors Keven Hickman (Assistant Editor GONE BABY GONE and MIAMI VICE)  and Zene Baker (OBSERVE AND REPORT). It was shot on location in <span id="lw_1260508627_6">Los Angeles, CA</span> and <span id="lw_1260508627_7">Valencia, CA</span>.</p>
<p>Yeardley recently had its world premiere at the <a title="Film Festival" href="http://www.santafefilmfestival.com/" target="_self"><span id="lw_1260508627_8">Santa Fe International Film Festival</span> </a>and was nominated for BEST FEATURE.
